Our grower, A-Shin, his ethic is to respect the land and to produce premium quality tea without chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. He believes that everything that we do to our earth right now directly affects future generations.
A-Shin learned farming and artisanal tea craftsmanship from his father, who started growing tea in the mountains of central Taiwan in the 1970s. A-Shin took over management of the estate in 2005. He has put his own personal mark on the family tea garden by making the move to sustainable organic farming practices.
A-Shin believes that farming should be done in harmony with nature. The land will produce high quality tea when it is worked with respect and knowledge, and without chemical fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides. Only then can the tea truly reflect the natural beauty of the terroir.
