Ruby Oolong is a rare and exceptional tea, made from the Ruby 18 cultivar, which was developed by the Taiwanese Tea Research and Extension Station (TTRES). This cultivar, first bred in 1962 and perfected in 1999, is a cross between the Taiwanese wild tea plant B-607 and the Assam variety.
What makes our Ruby Oolong remarkable is the craftsmanship of Mr. Yu, known for his extraordinary skills, Mr. Yu’s method of processing this tea includes extended sun exposure, which intensifies the tea’s natural sweetness and adds a special complexity to the flavor.
